Service fees do NOT include the cost of any parts.
Diagnose fault : Diagnosis is required when it is not obvious which part(s) will need to be replaced i.e. display faults, intermittent faults, stability issues, not-booting etc. It does not include the labour fee to complete the repair. Once we have conclusively identified the cause of your fault, we will advise you of the part(s) cost and appropriate labour fee to complete the repair; standard or advanced (see below). You can then opt to have us repair your Mac, return it unrepaired or buy it off you.
Fit parts, standard : When you know which part(s) need replacing i.e. upgraded hard disk, damaged casing, failing battery, faulty optical drive etc., no diagnosis is required and the only labour fee is for fitting the part(s).
The standard fitting fee applies to all parts apart from the exceptions listed under "Fit parts, advanced" below. Required part(s) should be added to your order.
Fit parts, advanced : As above but covers the additional labour time required to complete repairs which involve the following ...
• Removal/replacement of main logic board.
• Removal/replacement of cracked screen glass on Unibody laptops.
All completed repair work is covered by 3 months warranty. Where a part was supplied by, and fitted by The Bookyard, and where that part is supplied with a warranty longer than three months, failure of the part after the 3 month labour warranty will incur a labour fee to repair.
